Councillor Vacancies
The last scheduled elections in Stroud District (including Dursley Town Council) took place on Thursday 2 May 2024. However during the nomination process 15 Councillors were elected to the council "uncontested" meaning no vote at the ballot box was required.
However, two casual vacancies have arisen in the Office of Councillor for the Highfields (ward of) Dursley Town Council.
Nominations will remain open until the Town Council Meeting on Tuesday 21st January 2025, these may be made in writing to the Returning Officer at the address below by TEN electors for the said Parish/Town, when an election will be held to fill the vacancy; otherwise the vacancy will be filled by co-option.
Please feel free to contact the Town Clerk should you be interested in becoming a Town Councillor.
