Councillor Vacancies
The last scheduled elections in Stroud District (including Dursley Town Council) took place on Thursday 2 May 2024. However during the nomination process 15 Councillors were elected to the council "uncontested" meaning no vote at the ballot box was required.
However, a casual vacancy has arisen in the Office of Councillor for the Kingshill (ward of) Dursley Town Council on 30th July 2024.
If by Monday 19th August 2024 a request for an election to fill said vacancy is made in writing to the Returning Officer at the address below by TEN electors for the said Parish/Town, an election will be held to fill the vacancy; otherwise the vacancy will be filled by co-option.
Please feel free to contact the Town Clerk should you be interested in becoming a Town Councillor.
