2024 Shop Front Window Competition

2024 Shop Front Window Competition

The winner of the 2024 shop front window competition was announced by the Mayor, Cllr Alex Stennett on Friday evening. The theme for this year, chosen by the traders was 'Christmas Songs'. We had a record number of entries with over 20 to judge.

The judging panel consisted of five Year 12 Rednock School students, Mandy Woodward and Neil Grecian from Festive Dursley and the Mayor.
The panel found it difficult to decide as it was clear that a lot of time and effort had gone into the displays. The first, second and third place windows had all paid attention to detail, included many handmade items and a lot of time had been spent making the displays.

The winner is Network Care (Window 2) for the 'Twelve days of Christmas' located on Long Street. The Mayor is photographed presenting the winners award to Debbie Jones, Corrie Beard and Zoe Ball.

Second place was Hewitts with 'Merry Christmas everyone'.
Third place was Helen's Wishes with 'When Santa got stuck up the Chimney'.

There were also three highly commended windows who were awarded to:
Wyke House for 'We three Kings'
Inches for 'Angels from the Realms of Glory'
Armstrong & North 'Winter Wonderland'.

Thank you to all those who entered this year's competition.
