Remembrance Weekend in Dursley

The Town Council would like to thank all the veterans and members of the community who attended and participated in our annual remembrance events at the weekend.

A large crowd viewed the parade and wreath laying ceremony on Sunday afternoon, with many enjoying a hot coffee or tea raising funds for the new memorial on the War Memorial Recreation Ground.

This morning at 11am on the 11th day of the 11th month, the nationwide two minute silence was observed across the town, with wreaths being laid by the Mayor and a representative of the Cam & Dursley Royal British Legion.

The Mayor would like to express his thanks to all members of the Cam & Dursley Royal British Legion for their organisation of the annual remembrance events in Dursley.
