Remembrance Weekend 2023

Remembrance Day Saturday 11th November 2023

Wreaths will be laid at the World War 2 memorial at 11am on Saturday 11th November 2023.

The World War 2 memorial is located at the Pavilion on the War Memorial Recreation Ground, Dursley.

Remembrance Sunday Parade - Sunday 12th November 2023

Schedule of Events (approximate timings)

14.15 Assemble at the bus station in May Lane, Dursley

14.45 Parade leaves the bus station and marches via May Lane, Castle Street and Silver Street. Parade stops in Silver Street outside St James' Church, about turns and marches into Long Street.

15.00 Service starts in St James' Church

Between 15.30 - 15.45 Wreath laying party assembles in front of War Memorial Gates for Act of Remembrance.

Between 15.45 - 16.00 Parade reforms in Long Street and dismisses.
