The Town Council's office will close at 1pm on Friday 13th December 2024 due to staff availability. The office will reopen to the public at the normal time of 10am on Monday 16th December 2024.

Christmas Tree - Re-erected

Christmas Tree - Re-erected

Dursley Town Council would like to thank all at Tree Management and Build It Cam for their efforts in re-erecting the town's Christmas tree which had become a victim of Storm Darragh on Saturday evening.

Although our tree is now slightly shorter than planned, the lights will be reconnected later today.

New Deputy Mayor for Dursley

New Deputy Mayor for Dursley

Following the resignation of Cllr Matt Nicholson, Dursley Town Council appointed a new Deputy Mayor at our Council meeting on Tuesday 3rd December. Cllr Loraine Patrick was unanimously voted as the Deputy Mayor for the remainder of the 2024/25 civic year.

Cllr Patrick is currently the longest serving Town Councillor and the Mayor congratulated her on the new role.

2024 Shop Front Window Competition

2024 Shop Front Window Competition

The winner of the 2024 shop front window competition was announced by the Mayor, Cllr Alex Stennett on Friday evening. The theme for this year, chosen by the traders was 'Christmas Songs'. We had a record number of entries with over 20 to judge.

The judging panel consisted of five Year 12 Rednock School students, Mandy Woodward and Neil Grecian from Festive Dursley and the Mayor.
