Playgrounds

Dursley has a number of playgrounds where people can enjoy outside space.

The War Memorial Recreation Ground

Situated on Kingshill Road, close to the Town Centre, the War Memorial Recreation Ground ('Rec') is popular with people of all ages.

There is plenty of play equipment for children to enjoy and green space to run around and play. There is a circuit of outdoor gym equipment, petanque court and tennis courts which are free to use.

People can sit at the picnic benches and seats provided and take in beautiful countryside views that surround the town.

In the summer months, Spring Villa sometimes open their hatch onto the 'Rec' to sell food and drinks.

Highfields Play Area

Situated off School Road, close to the Dursley C of E Primary Academy School, Highfields Play Area has something for everyone!

There is plenty of play equipment for children of all ages to enjoy including a BMX track and combined football and rugby goal posts.

It is also located next to open countryside and farmland which is popular with local walkers.

Kingshill Play Park

Situated behind Kingshill House, Dursley's Arts & Meeting Centre, Kingshill Play Park is a hidden gem.

It has a good selection of children's play equipment, space to run around and a small wooded area.
